uploading Olivetti "Praxis 48" by Ettore Sottsass
Italy
1964
The Olivetti company was an important and adventurous patron of artists, architects, and designers in post-war Italy. Their products, the posters advertising their products, and the factories that manufactured their products were all exquisitely planned, many of which became celebrated icons of Italian design.

The Praxis 48 typewriter was just such a milestone, one of the best designs submitted to Olivetti by Ettore Sottsass and Hans von Klier. Italy's first large mainframe computer, the Elea, was also designed for Olivetti by Sottsass, and the Praxis 48 typewriter shares that computer's playful futurism and accessibility.
