Three-Legged Dinka Head-Rest / Stool NE Africa mid 20th century This beautifully formed object, a head-rest made by the Dinka people of NE Africa, is truly a piece of organic sculpture. Carved from a single piece of wood, this head-rest consists of a horizontal seat across the top that tapers out and in slightly along its length, and has a concave upper surface; three shorter branches protrude from the underside to form the legs.
