"CM 141" Desk by Pierre Paulin France
1954
1953 saw a young Pierre Paulin make a big splash at the Salon des Arts Ménagers in Paris. The following year, he designed the model CM 141 desk for Thonet-France. This rectilinear, functionalist design is a fascinating contrast to Paulin's later work in the 'sixties, which was sensuously organic almost to an extreme.
